With the release of Up (which I have yet to see), I was reminded of a list I made recently of my favorite Pixar films in order. I thought I'd share it.

It's so hard to rank these, because they're really ALL quality, I'm even tempted to say it's a 9-way tie, with A Bug's Life coming in 2nd.
It's weird putting Ratatouille at #8, because that has one of my favorite Pixar climaxes (Ego eating the ratatouille and having the flashback & the subsequent review)...likewise with Cars, the moment where the whole racetrack recognizes Doc Hudson and he realizes he hasn't been totally forgotten. Anyway, Pixar has developed an incredible knack for taking underwhelming plot scenarios and totally over-delivering for them.

ReplyDeleteThe list was definitely tough for me too. I think I knew Wall-E and Finding Nemo were definitely at the top, but the others were so tough. I'm definitely with you on just making it a nine way tie. I even enjoyed A Bug's Life, but I don't think on the same level I enjoyed the others.
I feel the same way about the movies I placed so low... like Cars and Monsters Inc. I wonder if my placement depends on the movies I've seen the most recently (Ratatouilee).... I think the main two that I'm definitely set in stone is Wall-E and Finding Nemo.
Speaking of Wall-E.... I LOVED your grooms cake. It was amazing. :-)
